El Khattat Yanja est membre du Parti Istiqlal (PI) et président du Conseil régional de Dakhla-Oued Eddahab. Il est né à Dakhla en 1962 et est titulaire d'un diplôme universitaire. En plus de son rôle actuel, il est éleveur et propriétaire de chameaux et a travaillé comme professeur de mathématiques au secondaire et a été président de l'Association marocaine des exportateurs (ASMEX) de 2013 à 2015. En tant que président du conseil, il s'est engagé à renforcer la croissance économique dans la région et a fait partie de la délégation marocaine lors des deux tables rondes sur la question du Sahara en 2018 et 2019.

Secretary General of NACROA
Currently, Valeri is Secretary General of the North American Camel Ranch Owners Association (NACROA) where she works closely with camel ranch owners and the International Camel Organization (ICO) located in Saudi Arabia. One of Valeri’s biggest concerns is trying to improve the accessibility of veterinarian care for camels in North America as she sees this as an area of needed growth. Her recent trip to Pakistan is an opportunity to learn more about the research happening in a country that is very focused on camel welfare and research advancement.
